I like the every-day grazing cattle contrasted with the “Distant” — this weeks PhotoFriday challenge — mountains. This was taken in Georgia (the country not the US state).
Please also vote for my entry in last weeks challenge, “Damaged.” I’m entry number 59.

No PhotoFriday today, but I thought I’d post a picture of the day anyway. I picked this one partly because Georgia has been in the news a lot recently but mainly because if there’s one thing that got me interested in photography and wanting to learn more, this image is it.
I know there’s a lot wrong with it technically, but it does still kind of work I think.

This weeks PhotoFriday challenge is “Insignificant.” Here is my entry.
This was taken in Georgia (the country not the US state). Note the two walkers in the middle distance. They’re pretty insignificant compared with the grandeur of the surrounding Caucus.
Please also vote for my entry in last weeks challenge, “Unfinished.” I’m entry number 243.

Georgia nestles between Russia, Turkey, Chechnya, Armenia and Azerbaijan putting it right at the border between Europe and Asia.
At its north and south borders you find some impressively large mountains called the Caucus (the Lesser Caucus to the south). We travelled around quite a lot, as you can see, and managed to see Tbilisi, the capital, and some of the beautiful scenery in the north.
But a picture, he said in a cliched manner, paints a thousand words, so on with the photos. I may add a little commentary later, but for now it’s just the pictures.
